If the mountain could sing

If the mountain could sing

It would sing of the mountain climbers as they start from the bottom of the mountain to the top.

It would sing of the many times the climber starts and the many times they stop.

It would sing of the struggles of a young climber as they start off with muscles sometimes not prepared to embark on the journey and yet they start anyway. It would sing of the detours along the way that completely change their direction and yet still it leads to the summit. It would sing of the countless falls of the climber, the times they struggled to take the next step, and the times they leaped forward and came crashing down.

It would remember the soaked tears of the climbers and the bruises they endured. It would remember the sweat of their brow and the work of their hands.

It would have a verse on the times the climbers started running and dancing as they climbed through the more stable pathways of the mountains. It would recite the songs, laughter, and dances of the climbers as they made progress toward the summit.

It would sing of the climber's sometimes deafening groans and doubts: Will I ever live to reach the summit? Am I close? Am I even on the right path?

In climbing it is important that the climber has all the equipment they need and prepare their bodies for the climb. Ultimately these things have been carefully placed within the climber. Fully packed, All have what it takes to carry on and finish the climb.

The mountain would acknowledge that no one gets to the summit alone. There is a lot of support and help that a climber gets, so it is comforting that this climbing is not supposed to be lonely but in as much as other people help during the climb, the climbing is done by the climber themselves. And if the climber gets tired, it's okay to ask and to receive help just as it is okay for them to sometimes sit and rest before continuing.

One climber's summit does not need to look like another climber's. Your summit is yours to conquer. To move through the adventures, you will have to walk through the grass along the way, the rocks, the cold winters, and the hot summers. Whatever it is, it is yours to conquer. Keep climbing. And other times you will fall into the valley, in between mountains. Keep climbing. You might even get lost along the way, in the rocks and grass, without the view of the destination, but know the destination is still there even if you don't see it. Keep climbing.

Each climber has a mountain to climb, it's impossible to compare. Who does the climber know when they reach the summit and who knows them when they are at the beginning?

The climb is yours to make and it is unique to you. It is yours to conquer!

If the mountain could sing, it would say,

Climb on dear climber!
