Finally Here

Well, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. It took me long enough. 

I am excited to finally start.

I have always wanted to learn more about my parents and wished that they had written something about themselves for me to read. I thought to myself, I don't know how much time I have here on earth and I realized that when I have my own children I might not get the chance to tell them about all my life experiences but that maybe they may want to know. So I wanna dedicate this blog to my future children hahaha, I sound crazy even saying it because having children is not something I have given much thought. But should you my babies ever want to come and find out something about me, here is the space. 

For those of you reading this right now, you are not in the wrong space, I hope that you can learn something from my life experiences. Let us learn and grow together, isn't that what life is all about? 

I dislike introductions but I do consider them necessary.

My name is Cararise Lubamba. I am a Christian African woman from Zambia. I am 21 years old and I just started my University life at the University of Oklahoma. I have five siblings, all girls, strong powerful women. I am the last born, lol but am not spoiled. I am a pan-African and Feminist and I believe in the idea of I am because we are (Ubuntu). I love to debate, sing and dance. I love traveling, oceans, seas,  rivers, falls, lakes, beaches basically I love water. I am a marvel fun huhhh, those movies are the best. I love economics and Politics. My career aspiration is to be an Economist and Politician. I am a friend, a cousin, a mentee, and am here to discover what exactly the creator created me for.

I think this should do for now.

On here, I hope to share my life experiences, both the hilltops and the valleys, I will also share my thoughts on different ideologies.

Finding Joy

Finding Joy  The deep sense of satisfaction, where all feelings felt are good, and the mind, body, soul, and spirit are at peace. Once I found this joy, I knew that it wasn’t going to feel this way forever. I did not want to deceive myself, for I know now with the years gone by that it is indeed true that there is time for everything, so a day where there is grave pain and sorrow will come, I mean I wish it wouldn’t, I would welcome feeling joyful every day. But I want to remember to hold on tightly on the days when I do experience this joy. It is tempting to dwell on the grave pains and sorrows of life that we do not even allow ourselves to feel, sit, dwell, or soak in the blessing of joy when it comes, so this was me calling on me to remember to soak it all in, to sit in it and feel it fully for all that it is. End of 2024 Reflection

How is the year already coming to an end? They meant it when they said the days are long and the years are short. Didnt we literally just celebrate New Year? I think as I get older, the years are beginning to just fly by. The best we can do is enjoy every moment and opportunity we have here on Earth's surface.  I started off my year in Memphis Tennessee, I visited my boyfriend's family. I am really grateful that they invited me and I got to spend time with them. I haven't spent the holidays with my family in a very long time and this time with Xays family was very precious. We then came back to Oklahoma, just in time for my birthday which I spent with Xay, we spent some precious time together and I took time to just pose and reflect on the Goodness of God.
